Finally some NEW Vintage!

I have to say I hadnt had much time for updating my shop while working so hard this semester. Now that I live in Georgia, I dont know where the good thrift stores are. Plus the ones I went to were really junky and a waste of my time. Im back in Michigan for a couple weeks so Ive got plenty of free time for floating around from city to city to check out the thrift stores there. Here's some of the new items coming very soon! If you see something you like and its not listed yet, please let me know.

a few pics from the east coast and atlantic ocean

Part of my family came down to visit this past weekend. That included my brother, his best friend, and my aunt. It was really nice to see people I actually know. The only person I really know is Pete and sometimes it feels like we are both in this bizarro world in some far off land. My aunt took us out to eat at nice restaurants! Its nice going to someplace better than wendy's or taco bell (thats all I can afford at the time). I had delicious thai food, portabella and tortellinis, a delicious hamburger with sundried tomatoes on it, and pecan pie, bread pudding...all kinds of delicious things. We also tried to go to (PARIS) Hilton Head Island, but that place was such an abortion with its fancy capitalist businesses (wendy and wal mart looked the same from the outside). We couldnt find the ocean and we drove around Hilton Head Island forever. WE JUST WANT TO GET THE OCEAN! We didnt find the ocean that day, but we went to Simmons Island the next day which is south of Savannah. We went to far out on a sandbar and the tide came in so we got drenched trying to make it to shore (we looked REALLY DUMB). I found LOTS of sand dollars and clam shells. I found neat little shells, but there were HERMIT CRABS inside of them so I couldnt keep them. OH, I also saw ALLIGATORS at this wild life refuge we went to. Its WEIRD seeing them outside of captivity. They were so close and SCARY!
It was fun and nice for a change to get out and do something since ALL I DO IS HOMEWORK! Back to homework again for now.

I have no time to look for fun new items, but luckily Ive saved up quite a few cute midwest finds that I will be adding regularly. Im so stressed out and practically failing my classes even though Im spending sooooo much time and energy on them. Here's a few of the pieces to be added to the shop soon:

New New New

http://www.stephaniebracciano.etsy.com to shop!

It's taken me forever to finally get around to photographing the new items for the shop. My apartment is so small that its hard to set up my studio lights and backdrop with such little free space. We did manage to set everything up and we only got about half the items photographed. I'll be photographing more of the stuff tonight and will be posting new things this week and next. I can't wait to go home so I can visit my favorite thrift stores! Only about a month left till I go back to Michigan for a 2-3 week vacation for Christmas. Yay!

Mid West is now Deep South

So I am officially out of the mid west and moved into Savannah, Georgia. I had thoughts about changing my store name, but for now I think I'm keeping it. I haven't had much time to look for new items for the shop; luckily I have a box full of new stuff that I collected before I moved. Im not sure when I'll get to photographing that stuff. Maybe in the next couple of weeks. Right now I am swamped with art homework; I've spent the last three days just working on homework. I've got a lot of drawing, reading and design homeowork to do. I only have three classes but they're 5 credits a piece. So far I havent really made too many friends but I think thats a good thing because I havent really got time to hang out at this moment. I have to stay focused and the best I can to keep my scholarship.
Our apartment is small and there's hardly enough storage space. We've been dealing with palmetto bugs aka big cochroaches on a daily basis. They have a colony in the huge tree in the front yard and they come lurking around at night somehow sneaking into the house. Ive been creeped out by them, but am getting slightly more used to them. Theyre just so big compared to bugs in Michigan.

Anyhow, back to my studies.

My boyfriend, Pete and took a drive (round trip: 180 miles) to go thrift store shopping. Honestly, I didn't find a whole lot this time, but sometimes that's how it works out. I try to be very selective about what I buy or what makes it into the store. I keep getting more and more selective and I suppose thats good (and at times bad because I get disappointed a lot when I dont find anything great). I am moving next Saturday, the big anticipated haul down to Georgia. It's weird to think I won't have the same address anymore. I've never moved before. I've lived in the same house my whole life. I'm glad I'm not moving alone, though. That would be even more frightening to me. I'm looking forward to finding new thrift stores down there since I've pretty much exhausted all my resources here. Next time I come back to visit there should be some sweet things piled up at my favorite out of the way shops.
