My boyfriend, Pete and took a drive (round trip: 180 miles) to go thrift store shopping. Honestly, I didn't find a whole lot this time, but sometimes that's how it works out. I try to be very selective about what I buy or what makes it into the store. I keep getting more and more selective and I suppose thats good (and at times bad because I get disappointed a lot when I dont find anything great). I am moving next Saturday, the big anticipated haul down to Georgia. It's weird to think I won't have the same address anymore. I've never moved before. I've lived in the same house my whole life. I'm glad I'm not moving alone, though. That would be even more frightening to me. I'm looking forward to finding new thrift stores down there since I've pretty much exhausted all my resources here. Next time I come back to visit there should be some sweet things piled up at my favorite out of the way shops.

So my family threw me a going away party this last Sunday. It was a lot of fun getting to see the people I really like before I move. The friends I wanted to have come, did come. We ate lots of delicious food, drank miller chill beer, ate cake, went paddle-boating, and had lots of good conversations. The paddle boating was interesting considering we could not get anywhere. I guess thats what happens when you pile 5 people on that little boat and expect to pull all that weight. We pretty much were stuck in the river for about an hour with no progress. Here' s a couple photos from the party. I move September 5 to Savannah, Georgia!

So I've been totally slacking on getting my new items photographed, but now it's complete! There must be about 60-70 new items I have been storing. I don't know where in the world I'm going to keep my huge vintage treasure stockpile, but I'll find some room. vacation!

So I've been on vacation as of late, hence I've been slacking on this vintage store! I've got plenty of new, fun items! I'm so bogged down right now! I have about 50-70 something items to be photographed! I'm moving very soon, too! Georgia will be my new home for the next two years for SCAD in Savannah! I'm so fortunate that most of my scholarship will cover the high price of art school. I'm looking forward to warm winters and trips to the Smokey Mountains in the fall! Oh, yeah! check out a few of the photos from my trip out to Oregon and California! After visiting Oregon, I wonder what the hell am I doing in this pathetic, worn out state of Michigan!? Seriously, this whole southeaster corner of the state should just stink into the earth! Especially Detroit and Flint. Those are two of the most hideous places I've ever gone to. Be fortunate you don't live near those cities. Everything is soooo man-made here. So much cement, shitty roads, industry, strip malls, walmart...It never ends!
